"It's nothing like the production where I started here years ago."
An open distribution cabinet stands in Can's office. It has to be taken to the next trade fair, so Can plugs the fine micro cables into the right places. Prototyping is a current task where he can draw on his experience from production.
"It's nothing like the production where I started here years ago." Back then he worked as a production helper with seven other colleagues in a kind of garage. The temporary employment agency placed him in the permanent job. He was quickly able to deepen his expertise in production and also spent a long time on assembly for Hauff-Technik GRIDCOM, which at that time was still called ZweiCom-Haufff, in Switzerland.
"Back then, we still delivered the products ourselves
and installed them on site."
As the company has developed, new opportunities have also arisen for Can.
"I'm always looking for interesting tasks and need the variety."
In 2020, he joined the development team and now leads the production in Rosenberg as a team leader. He accompanied the introduction of a new product management system that constantly optimises production processes.
"The path up to this point was exhausting, but the effort was worth it." His personal career is closely linked to the company. "Here you are not just a number."
The recognition of his commitment and the feeling that his work is appreciated is palpable for Can at Hauff-Technik GRIDCOM. He finds the short distances and the resulting direct feedback culture optimal.
"We simply get along well with each other."
That is why Can wants to continue working at the company. "Fibre optics is the future and an interesting industry," he says, "and if you then have a well-structured and secure job in a familiar working environment, the new challenges can come."
